Category: Data Masking

Data masking is the process that involves creating a structurally similar and simple version of an organisation data that can be used for various purposes like software testing and corporate training. Data masking serve a special purpose to protect the actual data while reducing the circumstances where actual data is not required. Almost every organisation have high-security control to protect their produced data in storage and in business use, sometimes that data can be used for operations that are less secure. Data masking help the organisations to maintain the exact data but their values differ from the previous one. This data can be altered in multiple ways, including encryption, character changes and the word or sentence substitution. Whatever values and methods are chosen, values get changed by a different method.
